Good song but more importantly the music video demonstrates how many thousands of frames can be drawn on to make up the video.

My Personal Development Plan (PDP)
What are my development objectives?
I want to further develop my drawing skills and increase my all round sketching abilities.
Increase my animation expertise by expand my knowledge of the history of animation
Set ongoing targets for myself, so that I remain well ahead of my work and I can prepare for later lessons.
Priorities
My most recent priorities have been the completion of my Ideology and representation essay which I have now submitted and the editing of my Narrative/ Non Narrative Animation which will be screened tomorrow for the first time.
Remaining on top of my work is always a top priority as it allows me to produce work of a high standard.
Furthering my drawing skills and widening my animation knowledge is an ongoing development and so is not a major priority at the moment.
What activities do I need to undertake to achieve my objectives?
Studying regularly by taking trips to the library means that I can remain ahead of my work, and means that I can complete any new work before it becomes urgent.
What support/ resources do I need to achieve my objectives
When it comes to writing essays I find that the best resource online that I have been regularly using is the Stanford Encyclopaedia of Philosophy. This helped me to research about Michael Freedon, Slavoj Zizek, and Karl Marx when writing my essay on Ideology and representation.
Additional resources that I have been using are the variety of animation programs on the IMac's in the Electric Press. These include such programs as Flash, Toomboom and After Effects. This software allows me to design and create my own animations with sound and effects.
Target dates/Actual dates for achieving my objectives
My calendar is forever changing as I never know when I am next going to receive work and with it a new deadline to meet. However with my own personal objectives the dates I intend to complete them are a lot looser then one day. My knowledge of animation is forever growing and I believe that you never truly stop learning knew things even if you've been studying for many years.
My animation hand in is on Wednesday so all my attention now lies on getting that complete, and edited ready for its screening. Once complete I will upload the animation onto the blog so that its available for all to see.

Animal Farm research
Brilliant analysis of the film, made me laugh as well. Definitely worth watching even if your not writing about Animal Farm.

11second club animations
The first of the two animations was a lip sync trial, which is the reason why there is little to no movement in the character. However I am pleased with the styling of the character as it fits with the brief I set myself, I didn't want the character to look too unrealistic.
This is the second 11sec entry and it was an attempt to portray the story behind the sound clip. Unfortunately because the sound clip is only 11sec long, I struggled to tell the joke within the allotted time and so appears rather rushed. If I had my way I would have stretched out the sound clip and allowed for the joke to be told casually.

Cut out animation update
Hello, hope everyone had a nice Christmas. Before the holidays I started work on my cut out animation, its not quite complete yet however I have finished a lot of the scenes and have been working hard on the sound. Normally I don't spend much time on the sound effects, but since the sound workshop I have felt inclined to do so. So ill upload a sample of the background sound effects, the sound starts as the boy leaves his dog behind and enters the cave. Let me know what you think, much appreciated

The cave is made up of five separate layers and i used what was left from the condensed charcoal that i used in the smudge and click animation to shade in the rocky terrain. There is currently a problem with the link for the sound file i shall try to render this problem in the next couple of days.
GoPro Hero4
There is no way I'm going travelling without a GoPro Hero. The picture quality is second to none and it fits in your pocket. The camera comes with many attachments and stands so that you can capture every moment from the right angle. Excited to start making short films this year :)
"Life is either an incredible adventure or its nothing at all" So many beautiful parts of the world, time to go exploring I think.
The Riot Club
Last week I finished writing my first assignment in which I explored and evaluated the way in which all the members of the riot club developed as characters throughout the film. It was a great movie to explore as each member had there own back story and how they all adapted to fit in at Oxford university. If you haven't already seen the movie I definitely recommend watching it
Short smudge and click animation
There is no meaning, story, or point to this animation. We were just experimenting with the compressed charcoal and we found that it created a dark feel to the story and so we played with that and this is the result. Collaborative project, accreditation, Alex Patterson
