Attempt at photorealism
My attempt at a photorealistic eye, courtesy of Mark Crilley check out his youtube channel if your into your art and animation. I added some some colour around the eye, thought it gave a nice effect.
Pre 1900 animation

The first moving images would have been seen using a Phenakistoscope, which was created by Belgian physicist Joseph Plateau 1832. It was a English photographer and moving image enthusiast Eadward Muybridge that produced this wonderful peace of motion picture using the same method in 1893

Walking man sequence
Just completed all 12 drawings, thought I would test myself and give him a sword :)
This is the complete walking sequence, I repeated it a few times so that you can see the full motion. I think it looks good for a first attempt however there are some minor mistakes but ones that can be remedied over time. I think that the transition between the steps needs to flow smoother which will probably mean adding additional in-betweens. The limbs are also too jelly-like and I think would look better if the angles were a little sharper when hitting the ground.

A series of interesting 2 minute drawings
Ink Butterfly
Tried messing around with coloured inks, to get some different results. I like how the colours add depth to the picture, the lighter colours appearing further away while the darker colours remain in the foreground.
Results of messing around with ink
Although incredibly creepy I like how it has came out. Not too sure about the weird moth thing in the bottom right corner

The little girl and the snowman
Our story made out of pictures, see if you can guess the story first before reading our interpretation of it. Lets see how close people can get..
The story reads; On a cloudy day in the north of Great Britain it became dark, a man sat on a bench and started to question his marriage when he hit a wall. So he had an idea to go out dancing and drink cocktails. He realised shortly after that he was a lot taller then his friends and decided to climb a tree. When he got to the top he felt ok, so decided to take a selfie with his camera, he then slipped and fell down. He then became seriously ill and died, his death was a mystery.

Just watched and dissected the matrix, it was interesting to break the film down into act's and sequences. It makes it easy to see the most important parts and makes the dramatic questions that change the film very obvious.
So at the end of the first act when Neo is faced with a life changing decision, whether he should take the blue pill or the red pill. You can understand the lecturers face palm when the random chinese girl at the back of the class asked if the pinnacle of the first act of the matrix was when Neo saw the girls tattoo...sigh

The long road to creating my animation
Day 1.
Learning how to structure a simple throw and catch sequence. Didn't realise how many frames it would take for just five seconds of film. However I'm pleased with the results :)
